13 arrested with narcotic substances from different parts of Nepal



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 13 individuals from different parts of the country in possession of narcotic substances during routine patrol operations.

According to the Central Police News Room, three people each were arrested from Sindhuli and Sunsari, two from Rautahat, and one each from Morang, Nawalparasi East, Kailali, Siraha and Banke.

Police said the seized substances include marijuana, brown heroin and prescription-controlled medicines including Diazepam, Phenergan and Buprenorphine.

Authorities stated that the medicines recovered are regulated drugs that can only be purchased under medical recommendation.

Police said further investigation into the cases is underway.
