Early election is not the solution: Unified Socialist Chair Nepal

POKHARA: Chairperson of the Unified Socialist, Madhav Kumar Nepal, has said that the early election of the House of Representatives was not the solution.

Speaking at a program in Pokhara on Friday, Chairman Nepal emphasized the need of holding the election of local levels, provinces, and federation at the same time.

He asked, “Why do we need to go for an early election?”

Chairman Nepal also said that discussions should be held whether or not an early election can be held, and whether or not there are legal complexities.

According to him, discussions have not been held within the five-party alliance in this regard.

“But I think the election of three-tiers should be held at the same time,” he added.

He also emphasized the need of holding the three-tier elections at the same time to cut back on election expenses and the nation’s property.

Saying there was no immediate possibility of party unification with CPN (Maoist Centre), he argued that CPN (Unified Socialist) would be made strong and powerful till the upcoming elections.

Chairperson Nepal said that they have not even imagined returning to CPN (UML), adding that those who are in the CPN (UML) have no future.

The CPN (Unified Socialist) would be established as the party of working-class people and the party would move ahead joining hands with the five-party alliance in upcoming elections, he added.
