Everest Premier League: Pokhara Rhinos wins by 9 wickets



KATHMANDU: Pokhara Rhinos defeated Lalitpur Patriots by 9 wickets in the seventh match of the Everest Premier League (EPL) played at TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur on Wednesday.

Chasing the 52-run target set by Lalitpur, Chitwan reached the target in 6.3 overs by losing only one wicket.

The match has been reduced to seven overs due to the wet outfield.

Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the loss, Lalitpur notched up 51 runs losing 6 wickets in the allotted 7 overs.

Lalitpur lost the first wicket scoring five runs.

Lalitpur skipper Kushal Bhurtel was out for just three runs. After that Pawan Saraf was also dismissed for five runs and Lalitpur lost the second wicket for 12 runs.

Similarly, Azmatullah Omarzai returned to the pavilion with just one run and Lalitpur lost the third wicket for 18 runs.

Lalitpur scored 38 runs for the fourth wicket. Sandum Birakodi was out for 19 runs. Similarly, Narayan Joshi was dismissed for 11 runs while Lalitpur lost the fifth wicket for 51 runs.

After that, Sandeep Jora, who came to the crease, could not open the account and Lalitpur lost the sixth wicket. Nandan Yadav took three wickets and Vikram Sob took two wickets for Pokhara Rhinos.
