KATHMANDU: CPN-Unified Socialist Party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has urged CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli to read the report of the Auditor General to get the details of the corruption cases under the Oli’s premiership.
Speaking at Unified Socialist meeting in Kathmandu on Sunday, Chairman Nepal alleged that UML Chairman Oli set record in promoting corruption during his tenure as the Prime Minister.
“Oli said he would not tolerate corruption, but always promoted corruption everywhere,” he said, “The recently published report of the Auditor General has the list of the irregularities of Oli era.”
He urged UML Chair Oli to go through the report.
Leader Nepal accused Oli of being directly involved in the corruption cases like, Omni scandal related to irregularities in the procurement of medical supplies at coronavirus outbreak, controversial dealings with Yeti Airlines and many others.
“If he is not involved, why does not he bother to investigate?” Nepal said referring to UML Chair’s unwillingness to form probe committees.
