Budget positive, implementation challenging: FNCCI President

KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) President Shekhar Golchha has said the budget brought by the government is positive but its implementation is challenging.

FNCCI President Golchha said some measures to revive COVID-19-affected sectors were important. “Concessions to most affected tourism and entertainment and startup capital fund of the government for setting up small and medium enterprises are good.”

However, he doubted the successful implementation of the overall budget. “The challenge is that there is always meagre expenditure in proposed projects. I do not see much change on the implementation side.”
