UML leader Bhusal confesses violating parliamentary norms

Claims he signed for NC Prez Deuba to safeguard Constitution



KATHMANDU: Former Minister and disgruntled leader of ruling CPN-UML  Ghanshyam Bhusal has confessed that he violated parliamentary norms by signing in the document proposing NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba as Prime Minister.

Responding to the explanation asked by Prime Minister and party chairman KP Oli, leader Bhusal wrote on Facebook on Saturday that his decision violated the parliamentary ethics.

In the meantime, Bhusal defended his move claiming he had no other options to safeguard democracy and the Constitution.

“I admit that I have violated parliamentary dignity,” Bhusal wrote, “But  for our constitution and politics, I came to the point where I had to choose the violation option.”

He claimed that his decision in in favor of Nepal’s aspiration to live with democratic stability for which millions of Nepalis have shed their blood and sweat.
