Strict check of vehicles entering Kathmandu Valley through Sanga check-post



KATHMANDU: As Coronavirus cases have spiked alarmingly in the Kathmandu Valley, security personnel have been tightening the noose against the vehicles entering the Valley via Sanga check-post for the control and prevention of the Covid-19 in the densely populated Valley.

Police have been conducting strict checks of the vehicles entering the Valley plying Arniko Highway and through the Sanga check-post that borders Kavrepalanchowk and Bhaktapur district.

Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Kavrepalanchowk, Hari Khatiwada, shared that although the vehicles used for essential supplies and services were allowed to enter the Valley, those vehicles used for personal use and trying to enter the Valley were barred from entering.

Khatiwada said that the vehicles used by passengers for leaving Kathmandu Valley via the same check-point until Wednesday and entering Kathmandu with drivers and assistant drivers today through the same route are allowed to enter.
