Former PM Dr Bhattarai getting hospitalized for tumor surgery



KATHMANDU: Federal Council Chairman of Jatana Samajwadi Party (JSP) Dr Baburam Bhattarai is set to undergo surgery for neuroendocrine tumor.

Dr Bhattarai is being hospitalized today. The surgery will take place on Friday, according to Bhattarai’s secretariat.

His surgery will be carried out by a team of doctors led by Dr Subodh Adhikari at Bir Hospital.

Earlier, Bhattarai had been to New Delhi, the capital city of India, for his health check-up following suspicion of cancer in the tumor.

Doctors had advised him to remove tumor through surgery.
