UML leaders Bhusal, Pandey called to submit clarification yet again



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has again sent a letter to leaders Ghan Shyam Bhusal and Surendra Pandey, seeking their explanation for not furnishing clarification sought by the party, Monday.

A meeting of the UML Central Committee convened in Baluwatar on March 20 had decided to seek clarification from Rawal, senior leaders Madhav Nepal, Surendra Pandey, and Ghanshyam Bhusal for speaking publicly against the party and the government, and holding parallel meetings of the party. Letters were sent to the four leaders on March 22, 2021.

Senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and leader Bhim Rawal submitted their clarification to UML Chairperson and Prime Minister Oli on March 25, 2021.

Bhusal and Pandey have yet to submit any clarification to the party. After the party did not receive their clarification, it has again written to the two leaders today, seeking explanation for failing to answer the first time.

Meanwhile, the party has suspended Nepal and Rawal for six months on Monday (today). The leadership has pointed out the clarifications submitted by Nepal and Rawal was not satisfactory. And it has re-issued a call seeking explanations from the two leaders who are yet to submit their clarification.
