Weather expected to improve from Thursday



KATHMANDU: The weather impacted by the westerly low-pressure system for few days will gradually start improving from coming Thursday, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

According to meteorologist Sabina Shakya, the westerly low-pressure system will go on to be weak from Thursday leading to improvement in the weather. Currently, the weather in most of the places of the country is generally cloudy. The mountainous and hilly region will remain fully cloudy, said meteorologist Shakya.

A majority of the parts the country is predicted to be fully cloudy on Tuesday while light to moderate rainfall is expected in many parts on the same day. The areas in mountainous region will experience spell of light to moderate snowfall.

The weather update of the Department stated that the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley remained 5.4 degree Celsius and the maximum 17.4 degree Celsius.

Similarly, the lowest temperature, -1.4 degree Celsius was recorded in Jumla and the highest maximum, 28 degree Celsius, was recorded in Bhairahawa.
