Mental health: Important in people’s lives

Humans are subjected to a wide range of pain and anxiety throughout their lives. We are angry and uncomfortable with people as a result of our hectic schedules and stress in life. Stress and mental pressure have been caused by anxiety attacks, suicide attempts, and sadness.

Mental health refers to a state of mind that allows us to cope with anxiety and stress. Mental health is equally vital to people of all ages.

Stress, anger, depression, anxiety, and panic attacks are all factors that contribute to mental health issues. We don’t have a lot of experience talking about mental health issues with our friends and family.

What will society and the general public think when we discuss our problems? This causes us to internalize our difficulties and suppress them.

Since we work every day and have an unending list of problems in our lives, psychological problems are very common.

Mental health was a new notion in Nepal at the time. People used to be hesitant to speak openly about their mental health issues as if they were referring to them under different names.

Many of us have developed the habit of keeping diaries of our daily activities. We can also lower our stress levels by doing so. Singing, dancing, painting, listening to music, and watching movies are some of our favorite activities. When we are feeling down and out, we can engage in any of these activities.

When it comes to the past, William Sweetzer coined the phrase “mental hygiene” in 1843. People nowadays are aware of its importance and are learning how to reduce it.

According to UNICEF’s The State of the World’s Children 2021 report, an estimated 13 percent of adolescents aged 10–19 live with a diagnosed mental condition. Children’s behavior begins to shift around this age. They don’t come across anyone.

However, since the COVID-19 epidemic began one and a half years ago, the tourist, education, and health sectors have seen ups and downs. Many people have lost relatives, friends, and family members. Many people have experienced a company loss, which has caused them severe stress. The students’ entire universe revolved around digital technology.

At the time, all of those people were suffering mentally and physically. But, one step at a time, we’re attempting to resolve that issue.

Every person has issues in their life. Some people reveal and discuss their concerns with friends and family, while others keep their troubles to themselves.

Let’s have a look at some methods for reducing stress and anxiety. If we have problems or challenges in our lives, we can talk about them with our family, friends, or other trusted individuals in our lives, which helps us feel better. They will strive to discover solutions after hearing about our predicament and condition.

When we are depressed, we are unable to see anything positive or hopeful, which weakens us and leads us to take undesirable actions. But we must remember that we only have one life, and our hasty decisions cause a great deal of pain to our families.
