Leaders duo Rawal and Nembang to meet UML Chair Oli

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Vice-chairman Dr. Bhim Rawal, who had been reluctant to meet Chairman KP Oli before due to the latter’s pressure to withdraw name from the candidacy for the post of party chairman, has finally agreed to meet the Chairman on Sunday evening.

According to UML sources, Rawal’s meet with Chair Oli is expected to help the chairman finalize the list of the party officials, office bearers and central committee members.

Rawal and leader Subash Nembang, a contestant for the post of party’s senior vice-chairman, are at the hotel where Oli is staying for discussion. The meeting between Rawal and Oli had not taken place before.

Rawal had taken a stand that the election should be held. A leader informed that the final list prepared by leaders close to Chair Oli will be published after the meeting between the two leaders.

Sources claimed that Rawal is likely to agree with the party chair, provided that he is given the post of senior vice chair in the party.

A source claimed that leader Bishnu Poudel handed over the list of new central committee members to Chairman Oli. Earlier, leaders, including Chairman Oli, had prepared a list of central office bearers and members at the Park Safari Hotel in Sauraha.
