NC submits seven point demand to Lumbini Chief Minister



BUTWAL: The newly elected working committee of the Nepali Congress (NC) Butwal Sub-metropolis has submitted a seven point demands related to the issues of importance of Butwal to the Chief Minister of Lumbini province Kul Prasad KC on Tuesday.

According to sources, a team led by NC’s Butwal Deputy President Khel Raj Pandey handed over a seven-point demand letter to Chief Minister KC.

NC has urged the Province government to provide relief to the displaced due to landslide on August 29.

NC has also demanded to speed up the expansion of 6-lane road from Butwal highway intersection to Goal Park, Kalika Path road and Belbas-Bethari road.

Similarly, it has asked the government to take initiation to improve the quality of the roads in Butwal as they are dusty in winter and muddy in rainy season affecting health of the passengers and city dwellers.

On the occasion, Chief Minister KC assured that the District Administration Office has been directed to collect data for immediate relief and rehabilitation. He also said that the Lumbini province government was preparing a three-phase action plan for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the victims of the landslide and erosion of the Tinau River in Jyotinagar, Butwal.
