KATHMANDU: The Embassy of India in Nepal has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by the sudden flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on August 26.
On a day when Nepal is observing a national day of mourning, the embassy said the disaster had affected Nepali citizens as well as nationals of India and other countries. It expressed condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and paid tribute to those who died in the disaster.
The embassy also extended its sympathy to all those affected by the flood and said India stands with Nepal during this difficult time.
It further reaffirmed India’s commitment to continuing its support for Nepal’s ongoing search, rescue and relief efforts.
