Parliamentary committee advises govt to arrange vaccine for students prior to exam

Grade 12 students to take exam in home centers



KATHMANDU: The Education and Health Committee of the Parliament has suggested the government to vaccinate the students before the Class 12 examination.

Class 12 examination is starting on August 15.

“If there are 400,000 students, they can be vaccinated before taking the exam,” lawmaker and Chairperson of the Education and Health Committee, Jayapuri Gharti said, adding, “The committee suggested the government to take initiative.”

The parliamentary committee had discussed various issues including class 12 examination with the officials of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology on Wednesday.

The committee also directed the government to ensure all health safety measures are followed in the examination centers.

Owing to the pandemic threat, the 12th Graders will have home center to appear in the exam this year.
