KATHMANDU: The Madhav-Jhalanath faction of the CPN-UML has decided to continue what it said “struggle” within the party.

A meeting of the Nepal-Khanal faction held in Kalanki, Kathmandu Wednesday concluded that the activities of Chairman KP Oli were arbitrary and against the party’s statute.

Leader of the faction Bhim Rawal said, “We have concluded that we need to continue our campaign by following health protocol amid the coronavirus epidemic.”

Leader Rawal also said that they have also decided to urge the government to work effectively towards controlling the coronavirus pandemic.

Rawal added that they would continue the faction’s parallel activities, however, on a much small scale.

The faction has been holding parallel party activities across the country while Prime Minister and party Chairman KP Oli has sought explanations from the dissident faction leaders.
