Three more succumb to coronavirus in Karnali Province; death toll jumps to 37



SURKHET: Three more persons have succumbed to coronavirus in Karnali Province.

Two persons died in Surkhet and one in Dailekh, according to the Karnali State Health Directorate.

A 64-year-old man of Bheriganga Municipality-4 and another 53-year-old man of Birendranagar Municipality-13 died at the State Hospital Surkhet on Tuesday night, said Nod Narayan Chaudhary, Information Officer of the Directorate.

According to Poudel, the two patients had been undergoing treatment in the ICU for a week.

Similarly, a 75-year-old man of Narayan Municipality-1 of Dailekh died of corona infection on Wednesday morning. The deceased has been admitted to Corona Hospital for treatment, said Thirprasad Regmi, COVID-19 Focal Person of District Public Health Service Office, Dailekh.

With this, the death toll in Karnali Province has reached 37, according to the directorate.
