POKHARA: A prohibitory order has been imposed in Kaski district to curb COVID-19 for a week starting from today.

A meeting of the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (DCCMC), Kaski on Monday took a decision to this effect after coronavirus cases increased in the district.

The prohibitory order will remain effective from 6 am April 28 to midnight of May 4, as per the decision.

Except essential vehicular services including ambulances and fire engines, the means of transportation will remain banned during the period.

Similarly, hotels, restaurants, discotheque, shops except for essential ones will remain shut.

The essential grocery shops and those that sell construction materials will remain open from 5 am to 8 pm.

Banking and financial institutes will be allowed to provide services with a limited number of staffers, according to District Administration Office, Kaski.
