KANCHANPUR: Modern agriculture tools and equipment were handed over to farmers involved in commercial sugarcane farming in Laljhadi rural municipality.
The support in the form of grant was made under the Chief Minister Model Agro Village program run by the Sudur Paschim provincial government. The initiative is part of the Chief Minister Integrated Agriculture and Livestock Development Program.
The agro tools and equipment is expected to help the sugarcane farmers to increase productivity while lessening the labor cost, said chief of agriculture knowledge center Dr Dil Bahadur Bista.
Power tiller, mini-tiller, razor, rotavator and pump set for irrigation were distributed to the farmers. In addition to this, developed seeds, insecticides, chemical fertilizers were also provided.
