Man nabbed for murdering NID informant in Banke



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a youth on charge of murdering an employee of the National Investigation Department (NID).

A team of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has arrested 18-year-old Bibek Pariyar of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan-6, Fultekra in Banke.

SP Ganga Pant said that Pariyar was nabbed from Changunarayan Municipality-9 Tathali of Bhaktapur today.

Pariyar has said that he murdered NID assistant informant Praveen Thapa, 27, over a dispute related to marijuana.

Thapa was found murdered at Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-18, Suryagaun on January 17. The dead body was found in a field 2.5 km away from his house.

The arrested youth is being prepared to be sent to the District Police Office, Banke today for necessary legal action, police said.
