Medical colleges allowed to run COVID-19 vaccine centers

KATHMANDU: The government has granted permission to all the medical colleges in the country to operate COVID-19 vaccine centres on their premises.

According to Ministry of Health and Population’s Joint-Spokesperson Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, the government has also given authority to the private hospitals above 50-beds to set up COVID-19 vaccine centers.

The medical colleges and the private hospital having over 50 beds can coordinate with the public health institutions in the respective districts to provide vaccination services to the citizens of Nepal above 18 years.

The Ministry of Health and Population has urged the members of the public to get administered the vaccine against COVID19 from 9 am to 5 pm at their nearest vaccine center.
