At least 60 including 13 US soldiers killed in Kabul attack

KABUL: At least 60 people were killed and 140 others sustained injuries in twin blasts at Kabul airport, BBC reported.

US President Joe Biden has said that US airstrikes will continue despite a jihadist attack in the Afghan capital, Kabul.

Pentagon on Thursday confirmed two explosions in Kabul, which resulted in the deaths of 13 American soldiers.

Reacting to the attack, US President Joe Biden tells the perpetrators: “We will hunt you down and make you pay”

The first blast was reported at the Abbey Gate while the second one was near the Baron Hotel. An ISIS suicide bomber was responsible for the explosion outside the Kabul airport, Politico reported citing US officials.

The president says so far there is no evidence of collusion between the Taliban and the Islamic State, who claimed it was behind the attack
