NMA training on COVID-19 beings



KATHMANDU: Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has started providing training to health workers in collaboration with various organizations in the health sector, including the World Health Organization.

The ‘Critical Care Training for Health Care Workers: Covid 19’ training started virtually Thursday and will run for 10 days, said NMA President Lochan Karki. Training will be imparted to five groups with each group comprising 100 doctors and health workers.

Karki added the training will impart knowledge on treatment and recovery of an infected person, patient management at COVID hospital and ways to avoid being infected while carrying out treatment.

Around 3,000 doctors and health workers from across the country applied for the training, Karki informed. The training is being given through Zoom and Facebook Live.

The training is jointly organized by the NMA, World Health Organization and National Health Training Center.
