Three killed in Chitwan road accident



CHITWAN: Three members of a family were killed in a road accident that took place in Pakaudi of west Chitwan today.

The accident took place when a scooter that the three were traveling was hit by a passenger bus coming from the opposite direction.

The deceased have been identified as Mohan Adhikari,45, his 17-year-old daughter Anisha Adhikari, and his elder brother’s 17-year-old daughter Dibisha Adhikari, residents of Bharatpur municipal corporation-6, according to DSP Surya Bahadur Thapa at the District Police Office.

The scooter (Na. 40 Pa. 7982) was hit by the bus (Na. 5 Kha. 2150) at Pakaudi in ward no. 22 of the municipal corporation.

Mohan was riding the scooter while Anisha and Dibish were pillion riders. They died during treatment at Bharatpur hospital.

The bus driver has been taken into custody for necessary action.
