Indian youth held with banned drugs



BIRGUNJ: Police have arrested an Indian national with 1,200 ampoules of narcotic drugs from Birgunj.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Birgunj Police arrested 16-year-old youth of Motihari of Bihar with the banned drugs from Birgunj Metropolitan City-8, Bhanu Chowk during a security check.

During the frisking, police recovered 400 ampoules of diazepam,  400 ampoules of Phenergan and 400 ampoules of Morphine from a bag he was carrying, informed DSP Om Prakash Khanal, the spokesperson of District Police Office, Parsa.

Khanal said they have initiated a case against the arrested under Narcotic Drugs Control Act, 1976.
