Nepal’s two-thirds population vaccinated against Covid

KATHMANDU: More than 21.2 million people have been fully vaccinated against Coronavirus in the country.

Secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Roshan Pokharel stated that Nepal has received a total of 33.29 million 330 doses of vaccines so far.

Out of the total vaccines received so far, the government procured 12 million vaccines while the rest came through the Covax facility.

Likewise, the government has plans to purchase more vaccines to vaccinate all Nepalis by mid-April 2022.

The Ministry of Health says it aims to vaccinate 66 percent of Nepal’s population by December.
