Will not resign under pressure and influence: CJ Rana



KATHMANDU: Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana has said that he would not resign coming under pressure and influence of anybody.

In an interview given to BBC Nepali Service, Chief Justice Rana stated that he would not step down.

Stating that he has become the Chief Justice as per the constitutional provision, he said that he would not be ready to resign.

Supreme Court justices have demanded the resignation of Chief Justice Rana, who has been the subject of controversy.

Chief Justice Rana has indicated that he is ready to face impeachment saying that the way out of his post should be constitutional as he was appointed as per the constitutional provision.
