KATHMANDU: Kul Acharya has announced his candidacy for the top post of the Non-Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA), vowing to make NRNA a common platform of all Nepali diaspora.
Organizing a news conference here Sunday, Acharya made such announcement for the term 2021-2023 while issuing his commitment for the election to be held in the 10th global conference. The NRNA’s global conference is taking place in Kathmandu from October 23-25.
Acharya was also a candidate for the same post in the last election of the NRNA in which he was routed by Kumar Panta. This time, the NRNA voters will cast their votes online from across the world.
In his commitment, Acharya has promised to ensure right to citizenship and property to the non-resident Nepalis (NRNs). Similarly, he pledged system and transparency in the organization.
Born in Dhairing of Parbat district, Acharya is residing in the UK where he has established himself as a noted businessperson. From Acharya’s panel, Dr Keshav Poudel has announced the candidacy for the post of general secretary.
