Speaker Sapkota and Finance Minister Sharma discuss on post-disaster problems



KATHMANDU: Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota and Finance Minister Janardan Sharma today held a bilateral meeting and discussed about post-disaster problems in several districts with top priority.

During the meeting took place at the Singha Durbar-based Speaker’s Office, the two discussed about the effective operation of the Federal Parliament and the economic management issues as well.

According to Speaker’s press expert Shreedhar Neupane, matters relating to the priorities of the government in the disasters-hit areas were also discussed. In response to the Speaker’s query, the Finance Minister said he had already directed for the management of Bailey bridge at the flood-affected Melamchi of Sindhupalchok District. It may be noted that earlier the government had announced Sindhupalchok and Manang as the disaster-hit zones.
