Resham Chaudhary remains neutral in JSP authenticity dispute

KATHMANDU: Executive Committee member of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Resham Chaudhary has remained neutral after reaching the Election Commission (EC) office in Kantipath, Kathmandu, Monday.

The EC had summoned all the members of JSP Executive Committee for verification to resolve authenticity claim in the party’s rival factions.

Chaudhary did not take any sides in the authenticity dispute. “I could not put my signature by choosing one faction after arriving here. I am both in favor of JSP and against it,” he told reporters outside EC.

Meanwhile, Chaudhary’s wife Ranjita signed in favor of Chair Mahantha Thakur.

As many as 34 Executive Committee members of the total 51 have signed in favor of Chairman Upendra Yadav while 16 favored Chair Thakur.
