Health Ministry warns of 3rd wave of COVID-19 from Oct 1



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has warned of third wave of COVID-19 from October 1.

Presenting a report on the present of COVID-19 and the steps taken by the government so fare at the Parliament’s Education and Health Committee on Monday, the Health Ministry said that the third wave is likely from beginning of October.

Speaking at the Committee meeting, Joint Secretary Ganga Lohani said the third wave is likely from October but its intensity depends upon the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines, the forms of variants, social activities and the compliance with the health protocols.
