KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has urged people to take precautions living along the river banks warning of flood risks induced by active monsoon in various parts of the country.

According to the Department, the water level is likely to surge in Kankai, Koshi, Kamala, Bagmati rivers due to heavy rainfall on Saturday.

People living along the banks of these rivers have been alerted of the possible flood risks.
