COVID-19: India records new 208,886 cases, 4,172 deaths

NEW DELHI: India recorded 208,886 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 27,156,382.

Currently, 2,501,662 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 24,343,299 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 311,400-mark.

With 4,172 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 311,421, according to the latest figures collated by the Worldometers.

Broken out in Wuhan City of China in December 2019, the coronavirus has killed 3,498,876 and infected 168,496,705 globally until the filing of this news.
