15 arrested across Nepal for drug-related offenses



KATHMANDU: Police on routine patrol have arrested 15 individuals from various districts in connection with drug possession and trafficking.

According to the Central Police Newsroom, arrests were made on Tuesday and Wednesday in Jhapa, Bara, Mahottari, Chitwan, and Kanchanpur.

Among those detained, one person was caught at Pokhara Bus Park in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1 with prescription-only drugs.

Seven were arrested in Bhadrapur Municipality-6 with brown heroin, two near Lalka Bridge in Jitpursimara Sub-metropolitan City-3 of Bara with nine kilograms of marijuana, four in Bardibas Municipality-3 of Mahottari with brown heroin, and one in Ghanta, Belauri Municipality-10 of Kanchanpur.
