KATHMANDU: A personal security officer (PSO) of Province 2 Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut has died in a road accident in Lalgadh, Dhanusha, early Friday.
The PSO has been identified as Assistant Sub-inspector Manadjung Kapad.
PSO Kapad was hit by a truck coming from the opposite direction while he was riding home on his motorcycle at 3 am along the Bardibas-Janakpur road section. He was headed to Janakpur.
Police have taken the truck that hit Kapad under control from Sunsari.
Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
