KATHMANDU: Arjun BK who went viral on social media a few months ago has been arrested on charges of rape, kidnapping, and hostage-taking.
Arjun had fled from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-10, Devinagar on May 16, 2016, after kidnapping and raping a 13-year-old girl.
He was arrested last Thursday from Tinkune in Kathmandu by a police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Bhajani.
A case was registered against Arjun at the District Police Office, Kailali.
The photo of him carrying his two-year-old son on his back and pulling a rickshaw went viral on social media.
After going viral on social media and YouTube, Arjun had the opportunity to play in more than half a dozen music videos.
According to the District Police Office, Kailali, further investigation is underway.
