KATHMANDU: The first meeting of the newly elected Central Working Committee (CWC) of the Nepali Congress (NC) concluded by making four decisions on Saturday.
The first meeting NC CWC, elected from the 14th General Convention, held at the party’s central office, Sanepa ended with the resolution to further strengthen the party. The CWC meeting also decided to thank leaders of various political parties, the party’s Central Election Committee, and the media for their work in successfully concluding the general convention.
Similarly, the meeting also decided to use the signature of party President Sher Bahadur Deuba for the purpose of National Assembly election, said General Secretary of the party Gagan Kumar Thapa.
It was also decided to entrust NC Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel with the tasks of submitting and updating all details of the party to the Election Commission for party registration on behalf of the party.
“The first meeting of NC CWC, elected from the 14th general convention, held under the chairship of party president Sher Bahadur Deuba, internalized the spirit of moving ahead by building a stronger unity within the party in commemoration of the founding leaders of the party and all the martyrs and the slogan of the 14th general convention i.e. Enthusiasm, Unity and Transformation,” Thapa said.
The recently held 14th general convention of the NC elected a 133-member CWC, the first meeting of which was held today.
