NC leader Dr. Koirala says he experienced win despite losing party presidency



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has said that he has won at the party’s 14th general convention in spite of losing the party presidency.

Speaking at the 26th Annual General Meeting of the Koirala Sewa Samaj on Saturday, he said that he contested in the 14th general convention with the agenda of generational transfer of leadership and transformation of the party.

Stating that though he lost in the election his agenda won, Dr. Koirala said, “I realize we win even after losing sometimes. Though I lost, my agenda won. I am proud of that.”

“It’s natural to lose the election, but we have to learn from the defeat,” he said. Stating that he has also learned something from the recent defeat, Koirala said, “If a family stands together in one place, then that family can do something for the nation. I felt that.”
