NEPSE index up by 16.04 points

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 16.04 points on the second trading day of the week on Monday. The NEPSE index closed at 2,440.87.

However, the Sensitive Index fell by 0.24 points to close at 451.82 points.

Out of 12 sub-indices, shares of only five sub-indices witnessed an increase.

Banking sub-index increased by 24.22 points, Trading by 90.77 points, Others by 31.6 points, Non-Life Insurance by 79.34 points, and Mutual Fund by 0.05 points.

The stock market has witnessed a turnover of Rs 8.90 billion today.

Of the 208 companies traded today, the share price of five companies has risen by more than nine percent.

The share price of Citizen Investment Trust increased the highest by 10 percent.

Similarly, the share price of Gunras Microfinance rose by 9.95 percent, Prabhu Life Insurance Company by 9.87 percent, National Hydropower Company by 9.40 percent, and Mountain Energy Nepal by 9.39 percent.
