TU Teaching Hospital to implement two-day weekly holiday

KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital has announced a two-day weekly public holiday following the government’s decision to implement a two-day weekend.

According to a notice issued by the hospital, it will now observe holidays on Saturdays and Sundays.

Hospital administration said the decision was implemented after the Tribhuvan University Executive Council endorsed the government’s move on April 5.

As per the new schedule, office hours on working days, except Saturdays and Sundays, will run from 9 am to 5 pm.

However, the hospital said essential patient services will continue uninterrupted. Outpatient department (OPD) and surgical services will operate throughout Friday and on other days to ensure patient care is not affected.
