NHRC urges govt. to find solution thru discussion

KATHMANDU: National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has urged the government to save the life of the people, who are in agitation putting forth appropriate demands related to public concern.

A press release issued by NHRC Spokesperson, Dr Tikaram Pokharel, on Sunday asked the government to safeguard the life of the people, who have lunched sit-in, by holding necessary talks and discussion.

The NHRC also urged the agitating side not to take unpleasant steps like hunger strike to fulfill their demands.
Bagmati Provincial office of NHRC carried out monitoring regarding serious health condition of different people including general-secretary of Nepal Communist Party (Janabadi), DS Mahata, Bharat Dhanadi, Lalan Singh and Kishor Singh, who are on sit-in putting forth 52-point demands including free education and health service since December 18 in Kathmandu.

According to the NHRC, Bharat Dhanadi and Lalan Singh are still in hunger strike at hospital and their health has become complex. RSS
