Two killed in ambulance-motorcycle collision in Butwal



BUTWAL: Two persons have died in a road accident in Butwal district.

They died when an ambulance and a motorcycle collided, according to the police.

The Lumbini Provincial Traffic Police Office said that an ambulance –Lu 1 Jha 287 — heading towards Butwal from the west and a motorcycle — Lu 24 Pa 3987 — heading west from Butwal collided head-on in Butwal Sub-Metropolitan Ward No. 12 Tamnagar.

The deceased have been identified as Anmol Thapa, 24, and Nishan Chhetri, 35, of Sainamina-4.

Thapa and Chhetri, who were critically injured in the accident, died at the hospital at around 1:15 last night, police said.

Similarly, ambulance driver Surendra Murau, 36, of Gaindhawa Rural Municipality-6 was injured and is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Butwal.
