CPN-Unified (Socialist) Chair Nepal calls on UML leaders to stand united to revolt against Oli

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the proposed CPN-Unified (Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal has called on the UML leaders and cadres to revolt against CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli.

Following the news regarding the implementation of the 10-point agreement reached between the ‘neural’ group including leader Bhim Rawal, who earlier had sided with Nepal, and Oli, Nepal has issued a midnight appeal, saying, “We have to take drastic steps and choose the path of alternative to prevent the Nepali communist movement by reorganizing and transforming the CPN-UML.”

Despite continuous efforts to preserve party unity, Nepal has said, Oli has made it clear that unity cannot be maintained as he does not want to unite under any circumstances.

“So today we have reached a critical juncture in history,” reads Nepal’s appeal, adding, “You are working to increase the power of your faction and to distract us from organizational activities.”

‘The CPN-UML needs to launch a campaign to restructure and transform itself in a new way. During this grand campaign of CPN-UML reorganization and transformation, we have legally revolted from the CPN-UML and moved forward by forming a new party called CPN United (Socialist),” the appeal said.

Meanwhile, Nepal, in the appeal, has appeal to all the leaders and cadres to stand united for the communist movement, democracy and nationalism with renewed vigor and determination.
