Two ministers leave quarters and hand over vehicles

KATHMANDU: Two ministers, who have been relieved of their responsibilities by the Supreme Court (SC), have left the quarters and handed over the vehicles to the government.

Some other ministers are following suit, sources have said.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in a meeting yesterday had reportedly instructed them to keep using vehicles concealing flags and not to immediately quit the quarter.

Home Minister Khagaraj Adhikari, who led the Home Minister for 13 days and Bimal Shriwastav who led the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, have left the quarter.

Both of them have handed over the vehicles to the government.

Hearing the writ petition on cabinet reformation, the Supreme Court on Tuesday relieved 20 ministers of their responsibilities on the ground that their appointment is unconstitutional.
