Landless to receive land ownership certificates: Minister Tumbahamfe



MORANG: Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Dr Shivamaya Tumbahamfe has shared the information that the landless problem-solving commission would distribute land ownership certificates to the landless squatters.

The commission constituted by the government as per the Constitution and laws would work to end the problem of landlessness by distributing land, Minster Dr Tumbahamfe said while distributing Janardan Mainali Memorial Journalism Award amidst a program organized here today by Press Chautari Morang Chapter.

Noting the government’s commitment to the protection of life and health of its people, she shared arrangement has been placed to provide free treatment to the COVID-19 infected as well as vaccination services free of cost.

The minister called for the media sector to produce and disseminate fact-based news as it has the power to influence the entire country. She also called on all eligible voters and those left to enroll their names in the list and asked to participate in upcoming elections.

Province Media Academy Director Yagya Sharma stressed the need to enhance the professional capacity of media workers.

Journalist Kamal Poudel was provided with the award carrying a purse of Rs 15,525 along with a letter of appreciation. RSS
