GALKOT: A man has been sentenced to seven years in prison after being found guilty of raping a teenager.
Bharat Sapkota,40, a resident of Baglung municipality-5 was also penalized Rs. 100,000 to be paid as compensation to the rape survivor.
A single bench of District Court Baglung Judge Basudev Neupane announced the verdict against Sapkota for raping a 19-year-old girl.
The incident took place 9 months ago, and Sapkota was in jail since he was arrested based on a complaint filed by the victim side.
