Nepal sees 293 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley sees 148 cases in 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 293 new cases of coronavirus while 232 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 241 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 52 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 101 cases in Kathmandu, 13 in Bhaktapur and 34 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the valley to 148 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there were two coronavirus-related death in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll has reached 11,581 in the country.

There are 5,161 active cases of coronavirus in Nepal as of Tuesday.
