CJ Rana sets 10 benches for Tuesday

593 cases scheduled for hearing today



KATHMANDU: Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana has constituted 10 benches besides himself on Tuesday.

Chief Justice Rana, who did not assign any case to his bench yesterday (Monday), has assigned 592 cases of all kinds to different benches today.

The hearing of all kinds of cases is going to be held the day after the provision of filing cases through lottery (Gola Pratha) was published in Gazette Monday.

Earlier, 19 judges of the Supreme Court had boycotted the session and joined the agitation seeking reform in the judiciary. The Nepal Bar Association is still in agitation demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Rana.

Earlier, only habeas corpus hearing cases were being held.
