NC Gen Convention: Thing elected President of Lalitpur 1



KATHMANDU: Sundar Man Thing has been elected as the president of Lalitpur Constituency 1 of Nepali Congress.

Thing has secured 352 votes.

His closest rival Ram Krishna Lama obtained 246 votes.

According to the vote count results held on Tuesday morning in Bajrabarahi in Lalitpur, Thing’s panel made a almost clean sweep in the elections held to elect general convention delegates.

Madhura Prasad Ghimire, Khom Prasad Ghimire, Ranjana Timalsina have been elected from the opposition panel while the rest of the posts have been won by Thing’s  panel.
