Kathmandu valley sees 213 cases of coronavirus in 24 hrs



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu valley has seen 213 cases of COVID-19 infection in the last 24 hours.

According to Ministry of Health and Population, 150 people have been infected in Kathmandu district alone. Similarly, 39 people of Lalitpur and 24 of Bhaktapur have also tested COVID-19 positive in past 24 hours.

Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 513 people in Nepal in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 4,972 people underwent PCR tests at various laboratories across the country, and 438 tested positive. Similarly, out of 1959 antigen tests carried out of late 75 tested positive.

Eight more coronavirus infected people died in the last 24 hours taking the COVID-19 related case to 11345 till date.

In the same period, 817 coronavirus infected people were discharged after recovery.

The recovery rate is 97.3 percent, the ministry said.
